We use a 4mm 7x19 Galvanised Wire Rope coated to 5mm in Clear Nylon by default. Why? For no additional cost we guarantee a Safety Working Load of 209kg, compared to 117kg that you get from the usual 3mm equivalent - that's 80% higher for the same overall diameter, as standard. MaxFlex© is a plastic-coated steel rope that has been specifically developed for use in weight-lifting equipment. The rope has been tested to 200,000 cycles, which is 50% more than any standard product in the UK. This makes it particularly impressive for commercial equipment thanks to the high level of safety, outstanding performance and low wear.

Measuring Guidelines

Measuring Points vary based on the end fitting, please use the table below to ensure you are measuring your existing/previous cable correctly.

End Fitting Measuring Point  
End Stop A End Stop is measured from the end of the fitting.  
Soft Eye A Soft Eye is measured from the bearing point of the eye.  
Thimble Eye A Thimble Eye is measured from the bearing point of the eye.  
Gym Ball Shank A Gym Ball Shank is measured from the end of the fitting.  
Swage Eye A Swage Eye is measured from the bearing point of the eye.  
Swage Eye Ball A Swage Eye Ball is measured from the bearing point of the eye.  
Thimble Eye Ball A Thimble Eye Ball is measured from the bearing point of the eye.  
Gym Bolt A Gym Bolt fitting is measured from the end of the fitting.
The thread of the bolt is 1⁄2" x 11⁄2" supplied with nut to suit.		  
No End Fitting For no end fitting the measurement is taken from the end of the rope.
